The Tennessee wedding license laws make it simple and affordable for potential couples to get married. Since Tennessee does not require a blood test required and there is no waiting period you can get married on the same day that you receive your license.

If you currently live in the state of Tennessee you can obtain your marriage license for $98.50, or if you attend a four hour premarital preparation course and present a certificate of completion the cost of your marriage license will be $38.50.

All non-Tennessee residents getting married in the state can obtain a marriage license from and of the Sevier County Clerk's Marriage License Centers for $38.50. If you obtain a marriage license anywhere else in the state the price will be $98.50.

Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg Marriage License Requirements:

Both parties must be in attendance to obtain a marriage license.

Either a valid driver’s license or your birth certificate must be presented. If your Social Security number is not printed on your driver's license you will need to bring a Social Security card with you.

If you are not a United States citizen, you must present a valid passport.

If you have been married before you will also need the month and year of your divorce, or the date of your deceased spouse's death. If the bride has had a name change in her divorce and has not had her name changed on her driver’s license, she will need to provide a certified copy of her divorce decree.
The law requires both the bride and groom to be 18 years old. If anyone is under the age of 18, you must contact an office listed below to obtain the requirements for minors.
